Notes
Built on site in 2005 and 2006, parked in the Serratus-Dione col with mixed snow and rock routes on Tantalus, Dione, Alpha and Serratus straight off the doorstep. Getting there on foot means crossing the Squamish River by boat, climbing the Lake Lovely Water trail, then a further six hours up scree and snow to the Ionia-Serratus col and across a small glacier, so rope and crevasse rescue skills are not optional. Most parties fly in by helicopter instead. The ACC says the terrain is generally unsuitable for ski touring because of avalanche hazard, though experienced parties do steep lines in spring. Bookings are whole-hut only in fixed three-night blocks, and the refund policy is genuinely no refunds for any reason. Do not tent on the rock and snow bench east of the hut, that is the BC Parks helipad.
Booking opens on the operator's own site.
