Notes

Largest and oldest structure on the Long Trail, built 1920 by volunteers. Enclosed 4-sided lodge, sleeps 24, below the summit of Mt. Mansfield. 1.7-mile climb from Long Trail crossing. Fee collected by caretaker when staffed. One of the cheapest historic backcountry huts in North America.
