Notes

Built in 1988 by Keith Flavelle's friends and family after he died on Mount Logan, and still run by volunteers with a September work party and heli flown firewood. Sleeps 14 in the loft, wood stove, solar LED lights on timers, no reservations, so bring a tent or plan on digging in if a weekend crowd beats you there. The 2019 Joffre Peak landslides wiped out both the summer trail and the winter route. BC Parks closed the slide path and there is now no formal trail; a marked line follows the west side of the debris and a third slide is considered likely, so cross it fast and do not linger. Anniversary Glacier, Matier and Joffre sit right above the hut and are why people come.
